The look I am sharing today consists of two of my favorite things; well fitting bustiers and high waist jeans.

Printed Bustier
I hate to complain about a sunny day, but the Jo'burg heatwave at this stage is unbearable. We are doing everything we can to keep cool. That of course includes leisurely lunches with chilled cocktails, pool parties and the occasional pop in at the coast.

My Stylish Saturday
This weekend I attended Mrs Regoro's style seminar. The room was filled with stunning women, impeccably dressed and holding the prettiest virgin cocktails in the most elegant manner. You would have never thought that these women, each of them had a body part they wanted to change or hide. As Natasjja went through how to dress for your body; she asked the most explosive question of all - what body part do you dislike. Words were flung around the room as if to see who could do it the loudest; my butt, my legs, my tummy area, my neck. My arms my friend shouted! Me too I said supportively. Natasjja tried her best to assure all of us that there are ways to dress to hide your perceived flaws.
What I took from the seminar is that love your body, make peace with it; dress for your body type so that you are comfortable, take focus away from your insecurities. And don't let rules stop you from expressing your true self through clothes.
Visit Mrs Rogero's blog to find out more about her styling services.

The start of Spring!
We experienced some good warm weather in Johannesburg this weekend. Hopefully this is the start of Spring with many more warm days, backless clothing, crop tops and long leisurely lunches on the porche!

Beautiful Winter
This year has flown by so quickly, can you believe its July already. It dawned on me that soon it will be Summer, the weather will be unbearably hot and the nights will be mosquito infested. I want to really enjoy what is left of Winter - the chill in the air won't be there for much longer. Soon layering will be a thing of the past, sleeping in will be close to impossible. No more complaining about the about the cold; instead I will layer and keep the red cappuccinos close by.
About my hair
I attempted the high afro puff - I think I just managed a puff. Because of the very coarse texture of my 4c hair I couldn't get the puff to be as high as I wanted. I have been keeping my hair moisturized with deep conditioning treatments every two weeks, for locking in the moisture I use sheer butter and black castor oil. I have done minimal protective styling during this winter - my hair doesn't respond well to weeks upon weeks of braids.

Afro on Print
I am having so much fun with my hair, now that it is a year and 3 months old. It is a lot more versatile than when it was a TWA. I never thought I would say my afro is my best accessory!

Black on Black
About the look:
High waist wide leg black pants| Zara| Black crop top| C(inch) get it here| Neck piece| Stich and Steel| Earrings| Stich and Steel| Turban| Old
My very good friend Faeeza gave me the neck piece and earrings in this post as a birthday gift. I could not wait to incorporate them into my wardrobe. To make them pop I wore them them with black on black.
For an office friendly look I will wear my high waist paints with a crisp white shirt and the neck piece.
