The Thula Sindi Spring dress

This past Saturday I was in Thohoyandou for a friend's Spring wedding. From what I hear this part of the country is in full blown summer all year long; this day was no different. A summers day straight out of any girl's dream of the perfect wedding...coupled with lush green trees and blossoming flowers, this truly was the perfect day.
I rocked my Summer it dress from Thula Sindi and managed to stay cool all day.

SA FASHION WEEK POP UP SHOP PREVIEW

The SA Fashion week pop up shop preview evening was amazing last night, beyond what I had expected. Most of the designers were there in person and they brought the good stuff with them. With 50 designers to choose from, there is something for everyone at the pop up shop.
Thanks to Jameson the drinks were flowing all night.

I was invited by Faeeza Khan to the preview, her stand was my primary interest and I was not disappointed. The Faeeza Khan label has so much personality each piece is quirky, interesting and feminine plus she is an absolutely adorable person. I will share with you later the fabulous skirt I got from her line.
I wore a printed body con dress with Steven Madden heels and bright orange lips by Maybelline super stay colour 540.
If you want interesting statement pieces for your wardrobe then please make your way to Brooklyn mall in Pretoria between the 30th and the 2nd of September and enjoy a wonderful glimpse of what our local designers have to offer.

The Skip fashion exchange

This is what I wore to the Skip Fashion exchange at the Maslow hotel Friday night. It was such a great night of fashion sharing. I kept it casual chic with jeans and a blazer.

My thrifted dress

I love getting a fashionable item at a bargain. This is so true for this dress; my sister bought  it for me from Hombakazi Vintage Cabin a.k.a. HVC in Port Elizabeth. I was so excited to wear it to the office, I felt very Mad men  like.. I shook my hips as I walked down the corridors...with my bright lipstick and drinking scotch...ok so there was no scotch and my lipstick was not that bright..but I still felt good.

MATCHING GREEN

I very much enjoyed wearing this look because 1: These Mango pants are just fabulous and everyone wants them, 2: They cost me just R300 at a Mango sale 3:I had the perfect green neckpiece to match them with. Sometimes everything just comes together beautifully.

Random fashion

A lot of things we do need to make sense, they need to be logical. A man on the street with reasonable knowledge of the topic should be able to understand what you have written, what you are serving for dinner needs to follow some sort of acceptable taste pattern, the report you submit to your boss must be in a legible sequence. Fashion is one of the few areas where its ok if people don't get it. When asked what your thought process was, you can say I had no clear thought process..and expect no material judgement to follow. Fashion is the one place where you can have peanut butter and cheese..so to speak and not be called crazy.
