Its now confirmed that Style36 is no longer. The online shop has closed its doors :( This is a sad reality for those of us who had come to rely on online shops like Style36 for our fashion needs. The decision to close down comes from the holding company MIH Internet Africa due to a change is strategy. The strategy of the company is to move away from "speciality" stores like fashion to more general online stores like Kalahari.net. As if we didn't have a big enough shortage in the variety of online shops.

5 amazing Ankle strap sandals
The must have shoe of Summer 2013 is definitely the ankle strap..whether thin or thick..double or single, this sandal is the item that will help you put the S into Summer. This is the perfect sandal; minimalist, sexy and Summer lightweight.
Lucky for us "lovers of all things fabulous", these beauties are available at all price ranges. You can go designer with Saint Laurent or high street with Steve Madden or even department store with Zoom..there is really an ankle strap for everyone.
In this post I look at 5 of my favorite ankle strap sandals as well as the pricing, hopefully you can find something you like.
1. Saint Laurent
I fell in-love with the ankle strap when I saw Ashley Madekwe wearing this Saint Laurent sandal that is the epitome of simple elegance.
2. Steve Madden
This is my personal favorite- this color is metallic chic, it goes with everything and the medium strap makes this shoe very comfortable.
3. Zoom
This tribal print sandal is a must have for those days when your outfit needs that extra something special. It is sassy monochrome with a comfortable heel- perfect for hot Summer days.
4. Zoom
Another personal favorite of mine..not only is this shoe amazingly priced but its also elegant and oh so delicate, guaranteed to add the right amount of sexy to your outfit.
5. Woolworths
You can always rely on Woolies to be on trend at great prices. This nude sandal with the medium heel can easily be your Summer staple.
If there is nothing you like here, you can also check out Aldo shoes and Zara.

Shopping online
Online shopping is as natural to me as putting on mascara, but I was reminded by a friend that many women still are not comfortable with this.
|
Once you get over the hurdle that is the fear of giving your credit card details to a faceless stranger, and not knowing if you'll ever see your hard earned money again or receive the promised goods..you will love online shopping.
|
Don't get me wrong, there is a certain safety in being able to touch the garment, fit it and then decide if you really want to spend on it. But the thrill that comes with sitting on your bed wearing pyjamas with a glass of red in hand at 10 o'clock at night, browsing hundreds of dresses..and finally spotting that dress you just cannot live without...then after a few minutes of checkout receiving that wonderful email letting you know that your package is on route ..is indescribable. The explosion of happiness you will feel when you finally receive your package after 1- 2 days of excitement build-up will convert you into an Online shopper.
|
I have known for a long time that I do not do well when faced with rails upon rails of clothing..I end up getting frustrated and frankly confused. The beauty of the online store is that it feels like you are the only shopper at the mall, you have all the time to examine each garment and consider whether it will suit your current wardrobe....and the best part is there are no pesky shop assistants putting pressure on you to buy..
|
If you are worried about the fit, don't! You already know your perfect size and most sites will give you a size guide based on your exact measurements. If for some reason, the garment doesn't fit you can send it back for a refund or an exchange.
|
One more thing to love about online stores is that the products are generally cheaper because these stores have less fixed overheads such as mall rent, which are usually built into the garment price.
|
In the new age of the busy women who has very little time for shopping during trading hours, but is busy climbing the corporate ladder, building a business and raising a family; the world must change and adapt..those who refuse to will certainly be left behind.
|
Here are some of my favorite stores.
