AFRICAN PRINTS

This is one of my favorite skirts..its a pencil cut with a front slit and it fits perfectly on my body. It is made from very light cotton and a fun multi African print. I wore the skirt with a simple white vest and a gorgeous Swarovski necklace.

I added these multi -color heels that were a gift from fellow blogger and fashion designer Faeeza Khan. These heels are easy wearing and because they are not too high, they are perfect for daytime wear.

Thank you again Faeeza, I can't wait to have more fun with these shoes.

New year's day picnic

Happy New Year all. This is the year to make our dreams a reality. I hope you entered the the new year on a high note.
I had a low key new year's eve with my boyfriend..dinner, lots of wine nothing too hectic. I'll post pics later, I'm struggling with downloading them from the camera.

I wore this outfit on new years day for a picnic at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. It was a hot and lovely day until that all suddenly changed and we got seriously rained on. Before the rain it was a wonderful day of lazing around and sipping champagne.

I was so excited to wear this yellow blouse. Its a recent acquisition from my aunt's thrift store and I paid a ridiculous R20 for it. Its made from chiffon and its buttons go all the way up. Love love love at first site.
The blouse is probably too dressy for a picnic but I just couldn't wait to wear it ( : so I wore it.

I paired the blouse with an A line skirt from Forever New, a Princess Tam Tam scarf and my cute black pumps.

I'll post the new years eve outfit soon.

Happy holidays

I have been on holiday in my native province with my family. I was reminded once again the breath taking beauty of  my home land. The vast landscapes that continue for miles, the lush green hills and valleys..the crystal clear waters and golden brown sands.
As usual at this time of the year, the weather has been gorgeously sunny. I have been spending my days lazing around at the beach and eating way too much food.

The only sobering thing is that I must drive 8 hours back to Johannesburg in a few days.

I hope you are having a great holiday and see you safe and sound in January.

PEPLUM PRINT

I am loving the long summer days, filled with laziness and way too long lunches...it’s just what I need at this time of the year.
Dressing for summer is a lot of fun for me, all the florals and the pastels and the neons are bound to come out to play.
I am always dressing to be comfortable and to be cool because it’s so hot. I have also been swapping my heels for flats a lot more lately.

Soon I'll be in the EC with my family; what I'm really looking forward to is the beach, the smell of the sea, the sand between my toes...

This look was one of such summer day looks with florals and laziness...I am wearing a peplum skirt with a green floral print, teamed up with a very light blue cardigan and my favourite Zara beaded neckpiece.
I’m not really an accessories person, I can wear a look with not a single accessory but I can’t seem to resist the statement neckpiece trend.

Stay cool, and happy holidays!
